About Grama Sabha / Ward Sabha
Vazhathope Grama Panchayat has 15 wards, and each ward conducts Ward Sabha/Grama Sabha meetings for local development planning and public participation.
The Grama Sabha is the meeting of voters in a ward or panchayat area where residents can:
- raise local issues,
- suggest development projects,
- approve beneficiary lists,
- discuss roads, water, housing, waste management, etc.
In Kerala, Ward Sabha meetings are usually organized ward-wise under the Grama Panchayat system.
